Peak Health and Wellness is currently looking for a certified Nurse Practitioner or Physicians Assistant. Individual must be motivated to work in a demanding yet rewarding work environment. Individual must possess a diverse set of specialized skills that will allow them to effectively and efficiently treat patients with various ailments, injuries and illness.
Job summary:
Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants at Peak Health and Wellness are responsible for providing comprehensive health care to patients, including Interventional Pain Management, Medication Management, Hormone Replacement and Medical Weight Loss. Working under the supervision of and in collaboration with physicians, diagnose symptoms and implement treatment plans.
Job duties may include:
- Assesses the physical condition of patients by performing physical examinations and obtaining medical histories.
- Formulates the medical plan and prognosis based on patient’s condition.
- Consults with physician(s) regarding patient health care plans and treatment.
- Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess the patient’s clinical problems and health care needs.
- Initiates and/or recommends medical drug therapies or other forms of related therapeutic treatment and procedures in accordance with approved protocols/policy.
- Complies with medical records policies regarding the complete and accurate documentation of patient care. Initiates and maintains required records and legal documents.
- Participates in quality improvement activities.
- Counsels patients, families and significant others about health and illness, and promotes health maintenance.
- Evaluates, plans, implements, and re-evaluates the care of individuals.
QUALIFICATIONS: Licensure to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Physicians Assistant in the State of Utah. Nationally certified as a Nurse Practitioner as required under State Law. Demonstrated clinical competence and in-depth knowledge of specialty area; and demonstrated leadership, teaching, and communication skills are required. Utah State DEA Controlled Substance License for prescribing required.
Full time or Part time. Pay is approximately $65 per hour depending on experience, plus performance bonuses.
