Group Fitness Director
We’re looking for a dynamic Group Fitness Director (GFD) to lead, grow, and innovate our group fitness department! This full-time (40 hours/week) senior management role is perfect for a motivated leader passionate about fitness, community, and creating an exceptional member experience.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the group fitness department, ensuring high-quality programming and a stellar member experience.
- Recruit, hire, train, and develop a team of skilled instructors who are engaged and aligned with our gym’s vision.
- Optimize the group fitness schedule to balance variety, attendance, and operational efficiency.
- Monitor class performance using attendance trends and key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive data-backed decisions.
- Maintain budget oversight, managing payroll and supply expenses while maximizing impact.
- Ensure adherence to industry best practices for programming, safety, and instructor development.
- Collaborate with other departments to create special events, challenges, and community-building initiatives that enhance retention.
- Ensure that group fitness studios are well-maintained and operate smoothly.
What We’re Looking For
- Current CPR and national group fitness certification (ACE, AFAA, NASM, etc.).
- 3 years of experience as a group fitness instructor, with leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- A passionate, energetic leader who can inspire and develop a team.
- Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with budgeting, scheduling, and operational oversight.
- Ability to analyze class performance metrics and KPIs to make data-driven improvements.
- A strong communicator who thrives in a collaborative, community-driven environment.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $34,000-$42,000/year (based on experience)

Schedule
