Responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair complex irrigation systems for both commercial and residential customers.
- Understand basic pipe sizing and irrigation components and design.
- Repair and maintain valves, tracing electrical components, and perform pump repairs.
- Spring start- up.
- Mid-season inspections.
- Winterization and blow-out
- Ability to visually identify hot spots and make proper adjustments.
- Install and/or repair controllers that operate irrigation systems.
- Inspect properties and generate reports to ensure the proper service.
- Make necessary repairs and adjustments to maintain all systems in proper working condition.
Requirements:
- 2 to 4 years as an Irrigation Technician.
- Irrigation equipment, including irrigation heads, quick couplers, etc.
- Irrigation systems (manual and automated).
- Basic plumbing knowledge.
- Safety practices and principles related to field maintenance.
- Basic arithmetic and mathematics principles.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain state’s and company eligibility.
- Must be able to work outside regardless of the conditions as long as safety standards are upheld.
- Physical ability to lift and carry objects weighing approximately 50lbs.
Personal Qualities:
- Good communication skills.
- Good customer service skills.
- Current driver’s license with good driving record.
- Self-motivated, good work ethic, honest and dependable.
