Job Summary:
As an Enhancement Crew Member 1, you will be part of a team dedicated to enhancing the appearance and health of commercial landscapes. You will assist in various tasks related to landscape maintenance, installation, and improvement, ensuring that outdoor spaces are aesthetically pleasing and well-maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
- Landscape Maintenance:
- Perform regular maintenance tasks such as mowing, edging, pruning, and weeding.
- Monitor and water plants, trees, and shrubs to ensure their health and vitality.
- Remove debris and litter from outdoor areas.
- Planting and Installation:
- Assist in the installation of plants, trees, and other landscaping elements.
- Follow landscape plans and designs for proper placement and spacing.
- Ensure proper soil preparation and planting techniques.
- Enhancement Projects:
- Participate in landscape enhancement projects to improve the overall appearance of outdoor spaces.
- Install hardscape elements such as walkways, retaining walls, and decorative features.
- Apply mulch and other materials to enhance soil quality and appearance.
- Equipment Operation:
- Operate and maintain landscape equipment, including mowers, trimmers, and irrigation systems.
- Ensure the safe and proper use of tools and equipment.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work collaboratively with other crew members to efficiently complete tasks.
- Follow directions from supervisors and provide input on project progress.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in commercial landscaping or a related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of plants, trees, and landscaping techniques.
- Ability to operate and maintain landscape equipment.
- Physical fitness and stamina for outdoor work in various weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality work.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Education and Training:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Training in landscaping or horticulture is a plus.
Work Environment:
- Outdoor work in various weather conditions.
- Physical labor and manual tasks are involved.
