Job Summary
The Senior Project Accountant will play a critical role in supporting the Chief Accounting Officer and investment team in managing the financial operations of a growing and entrepreneurial real estate private equity investment firm. This position is responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, investor distributions, and audit coordination across multiple entities. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background, experience in private equity real estate, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally to ensure financial accuracy and efficiency. This is a hands-on role that requires a proactive, detail-oriented, and analytical professional who can thrive in a dynamic environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES (Including but not limited to)
Prepare and distribute monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Assist in the annual audits for three entities including preparation of the reports, footnotes and relay of requested information to the external auditors.
Manage quarterly and / or annual investor distributions.
Assist in preparing capital calls.
Help with closings on acquisitions, loans and / or joint ventures as required.
Manage and track the funding of capital for each entity.
Coordinate with the Construction Team for timely and accurate job cost reporting
Forecast project cash flows and needs when necessary
Work with site teams to ensure accurate recording of operating revenues and expenses
Assist with the monthly and annual budgeting and forecasting for various entities as required.
Assist with the management of annual tax returns and distribution of investor K1s as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance required.
Masters in business or accounting preferred.
CPA or desire to obtain a CPA license preferred.
Minimum 5 to 7 years of financial management experience including private equity real estate and other investment entities (accounting, audit and tax).
Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), and their proper application within the real estate and private equity industries.
Highly analytical with excellent quantitative and problem-solving skills
Self-starter with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Willingness to assist with additional tasks as necessary.
Salary : $85,000 - $105,000
