Job Summary :
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Vascular Access Nurse (PICC RN) to join our dynamic healthcare team in the Springfield, Missouri area. This position is a flexible PRN position to accommodate your already busy schedule. As a Vascular Access Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing specialized vascular access care, with a focus on Peripherally Inserted Central Catheters (PICC lines). The ideal candidate will possess expertise in vascular access procedures, infusion therapy, and patient education.
Key Responsibilities :
Perform the insertion, maintenance, and removal of Peripherally Inserted Central Catheters (PICC lines) with precision and adherence to best practices.
Administer and manage intravenous (IV) therapies, medications, and fluids as prescribed by healthcare providers.
Educate patients and their families about the purpose, care, and maintenance of PICC lines and other vascular access devices.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
Accurately document all aspects of patient care, including assessments, interventions, and outcomes, in accordance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and optimize vascular access procedures.
Qualifications :
Current RN licensure in MO.
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, with a focus on vascular access and infusion therapy.
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
