Family of 5 2 dogs, is looking for a temporary household manager to step in and help while mom recovers from surgery. The role will start the week before mom’s surgery so you can acclimate to the household and work with her to see how to best efficiently help while she recovers. The children generally take to new people well - the family has moved 5 times in the past 10 years. However, given the circumstances of needing temporary help, there might be a bit of a transition period.
Duration: February 26, 2025 – May 2, 2025 (with potential for extension)
Location: Parker, CO
Pay: $30 - $35/hour DOE
Hours: 30 hours per week
- Monday: 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM
- Tuesday: 12:00 PM - 6:45 PM
- Wednesday: 12:00 PM - 6:30 PM
- Thursday: 12:00 PM - 6:45 PM
- Friday: 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM
(Some flexibility outside of these hours is a plus!)
Key Responsibilities:
- Transportation: Help with driving 3 daughters (ages 10, 12, and 14) to and from school and extracurricular activities. Assist with transporting the mom to medical appointments.
- Household Support: Assist with general household chores such as laundry (lots of this!), meal prep (lunches & dinner), light cleaning, organizing, and running errands.
- Mom Care: Administer medication and provide assistance with the mom's post-surgery recovery.
- Pet Care: The family has 2 dogs (1 yellow lab and 1 Bernese Mountain dog puppy) that will need care once they return home after a few weeks of boarding and training.
Ideal Candidate:
- Organized & Efficient: Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and maintain a structured, yet fun environment. Looking for somebody that can take initiative - see what needs to be done & get it done.
- Compassionate & Friendly: Should have a warm and caring nature to support both the children and mom during recovery.
- Energetic & Fun: High energy will be important in this role. The family values a lively and engaging atmosphere. Somebody that can joke around with the girls and be light during certain times, but also maintain structure throughout the day.
- Pet-Friendly: Comfort with dogs and ability to help with basic pet care.
- Flexible: Some flexibility outside of set hours would be ideal for the role.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in household management, nannying, or caregiving.
- Must be comfortable administering medication.
- Clean driving record and ability to drive the family car.
- Reliable, trustworthy, and a good communicator.
- Comfortable with pets in the home.
