Overview
Peak NDT Services is seeking a dependable and organized Assistant to support our NDT Level II Technicians and operations. This position is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to enter the non-destructive testing (NDT) industry or gain hands-on experience in a dynamic work environment. The Assistant will help ensure smooth daily operations by providing logistical and technical support while adhering to all company policies and safety procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Assist NDT Level II Technicians with equipment setup, transport, and maintenance.
- Maintain and organize tools, equipment, and materials needed for job site operations.
- Perform basic data entry and record-keeping tasks as directed.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and safety procedures at all times.
- Help with Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) and other site preparations.
- Support general operational needs, such as transporting materials or assisting with minor tasks.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet deadlines.
Experience:
- Previous experience in a similar role or industrial environment is a plus but not required.
- Willingness to learn and grow within the NDT industry.
Skills
- Experience with hand tools.
- Excellent attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all testing procedures.
- Strong problem-solving skills, capable of troubleshooting issues effectively.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass a drug test and background check.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with basic computer programs, including email and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
- Physical ability to lift equipment, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces as needed.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, nights, and long-hour shifts.
