Since then, we have grown to house 2 board certified neurologists, 4 advanced practice providers, and a clinical pharmacist. We see the full scope of general neurology diagnoses, treating patients ages 14 and up. We offer several diagnostic tests in house including EEG and EMG as well as in-house infusions for multiple sclerosis patients. Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Clinical Neuropsychologist. As our practice continues to grow, we are seeing more need for neuropsychiatric assessments. You will be the only psychologist practicing in our group and will be expected to work independently. You will have access to the neurology providers for any additional information that you may not have gained during your encounter with the patient and our providers will appreciate this direct communication.
Responsibilities:
- Your main responsibility will include conducting appropriate neuropsychiatric assessments for patients with cognitive concerns. Most assessments will be patients of advanced age with progressing cognitive dysfunction.
- We will request assistance determining if patients have dysfunction consistent with various types of dementias. With the new medications coming to market for Alzheimer’s Disease we are particularly interested in identifying patients with memory loss consistent with this diagnosis.
- We may seek assistance in identifying patients who need help with decision making such as Power of Attorney or conservatorship assignment.
- We also see a large population of Parkinson’s Disease and will request a candidacy assessment for Deep Brain Stimulation.
- We anticipate direct patient care around 4 days per week.
Qualifications:
- Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology from an accredited institution.
- Current licensure as a Clinical Psychologist in the state of CO.
- Experience conducting neuropsychological assessments with a focus on memory loss and cognitive disorders.
- Desire to work with an older population.
- Ability to work independently as the single psychology practitioner among this practice.
- Preferred: Board certification or eligibility in Clinical Neuropsychology (ABPP-CN or equivalent).
