Peak Potential Therapy is hiring a caring, dependable, and fun-loving individual to work as an Occupational Therapist (OT) with kids with special needs under the supervision of the Clinical Director in a fun and relaxing work environment.
The goal of this position would be to work with kids to help them achieve a fulfilled and satisfied state in life through the use of purposeful activities and interventions designed to achieve functional outcomes that promote health, prevent injury or disability, and which develop, improve and restore the highest possible level of independence.
Qualifications
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide treatment to children with developmental delays and Autism, including evaluation, planning, treatment, documentation, and professional communication.
- Provide direct services using various strategies including sensory integration and assistive technology, plus implement programs like Handwriting Without Tears
- Devise, implement, and revise relevant treatment plans, evaluation reports, and home and center-based programs
- Advise parents, family members, and coworkers on the implementation of programs
- Train other professionals in therapy delivery to operate within a transdisciplinary model
- Provide training and supervision for COTAs
- Work with clients in small groups to deliver therapy
- Write, review and maintain confidential client case notes and reports, as well as information for parents and other professionals
- Work with others to improve the effectiveness of service delivery
- Plan and deliver training sessions
- Perform any additional duties as deemed necessary by the director

- Ability to communicate information to clients, parents, coworkers, and 3rd parties effectively, and to timely monitor and report on developments
- Exercises sound judgment and exhibit strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Ability to establish and maintain effective professional relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, clients, and the public
- Displays exceptional interpersonal communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently and cooperatively as part of a team

Minimum Qualifications
- Master's Degree
- Experience working with individuals with developmental delays and Autism
- State Criminal History Clearance
- FBI Clearance
- State License and Registration
- CPR
