Safety and Shop Coordinator

Peak Product Solutions is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) and Shop Coordinator to join our team. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of our employees, visitors, and the environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and actively participating in the daily operations and maintenance of all equipment. All duties must be performed according to the company's operating procedures to maximize the safety of all personnel at the shop, while ensuring tasks are carried out effectively and efficiently.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

• Planning your health and safety program and protocols
• Presenting safety training sessions to the company
• Compliance with quality and safety management requirements.
• Educate employees on safety standards and expectations as well as safe machinery operation.
• Verifying that employees consistently follow safety protocols
• Attend safety walks and inspections during hours to analyze safety risks.
• Reviewing and recommending changes to regular activities
• Assisting employees in performing general maintenance duties.
• Perform and conduct service and maintenance, including cleaning of machines and shop
• Managing both safety and shop operations, facilitating smooth communication between all staff.
• Provides recommendations for improving safety in the workplace.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent, with 3 years full-time work experience; college degree preferred
• Clean and valid driver's license
• Previous experience with DOT, FMCSA, and OSHA rules and regulations
• Ability to identify and correct safety deficiencies
• Working knowledge with Email Outlook and Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Ability to deal with a sporadic, fast-paced environment
• Excellent multitasking and prioritization skills
• Possess excellent interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels
• Must be punctual, have a strong work ethic, and maintain a good attendance record.
• Well-organized approach to constant changing working conditions and/or priorities
• Ability to operate a sit-down forklift safely and efficiently
