Job Summary :
The Commercial Waterproofing Estimator / Project Manager is responsible for estimating project costs, preparing bids, and managing the successful execution of waterproofing projects. This role requires a mix of analytical, organizational, and leadership skills to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
Key Responsibilities :
Estimating :
Review project plans, blueprints, and specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates.
Analyze labor, material, and time requirements for waterproofing projects.
Obtain vendor and subcontractor quotes for materials and services.
Prepare detailed proposals, bids, and budgets for prospective projects.
Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to assess project requirements.
Project Management :
Oversee all phases of assigned projects, from pre-construction through completion.
Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure alignment on project requirements.
Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and work plans.
Monitor job site progress and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the course of the project.
Client Relations :
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong communication and relationships.
Provide regular updates on project progress, challenges, and solutions.
Qualifications :
Proven experience in waterproofing, commercial construction, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of waterproofing systems, materials, and installation methods.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, and technical documents.
Experience with estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar).
Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.
