Position Title: Landscape CAD Drafter / Estimator

Key Responsibilities:
- Design & Drafting:
- Prepare, revise, and maintain detailed landscape design drawings—including site plans, elevations, and construction details—using AutoCAD and related software.
- Translate creative ideas into technical drawings that capture project specifications and bring your designs to life.
- Project Estimating:
- Collaborate with project managers to develop precise cost estimates that align design ambitions with budget realities.
- Analyze project requirements, materials, and labor to deliver competitive and accurate estimates that support successful project execution.
- Project Collaboration:
- Work closely with project managers, construction teams, and landscape architects to ensure design documents meet both creative and practical objectives.
- Participate in project meetings, offering creative insights and clear communication to drive project success.
- HOA Guidelines & Compliance:
- Interpret local HOA guidelines and advise on design decisions to ensure projects comply with community standards while remaining innovative and visually compelling.
- Review project plans to ensure alignment with both aesthetic goals and regulatory requirements.
- Quality Control:
- Implement revisions accurately, maintaining adherence to office and industry standards.
- Organize and manage project files and drawing sets, ensuring efficiency and accessibility throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in CAD drafting, preferably focused on landscape design within a design/build environment.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential; experience with 3D design software and Photoshop is a plus.
- Solid understanding of landscape design principles, drafting standards, and construction documentation, along with a keen knowledge of plants and their characteristics.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and advise on HOA guidelines.
- A degree in Landscape Architecture or a related field from an accredited university, or equivalent professional experience, is preferred.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, coupled with a strong work ethic and collaborative mindset.
