Job Title: CNC Department Manager
We are looking for an experienced and skilled CNC professional to join our client's team as a CNC Department Manager. This position offers a 1st shift schedule with no travel and no mandatory overtime. The work schedule is M-F 7am-3:30pm onsite. As the CNC Department Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations of our CNC department, utilizing your expertise in Fanuc and Siemens controls to enhance production processes and manage mechanical and electrical repairs as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the CNC department to ensure smooth workflow and efficient resource allocation.
- Program and operate CNC machines with a high level of proficiency using Fanuc and Siemens controls.
- Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation to improve production efficiency and quality.
- Perform or supervise routine maintenance and mechanical repairs on CNC machines and other shop equipment.
- Keep accurate records of production activities, machine adjustments, and performance data.
- Ensure a safe and clean working environment by adhering to safety procedures and company policies.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven experience in setting up and programming CNC lathes, particularly with Fanuc and Siemens controls.
- Strong mechanical skills and hands-on experience with repair and maintenance of CNC lathes and other equipment.
- Expertise in tool selection, process design, set-up, and machining operations.
- Previous experience managing a CNC department is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and troubleshooting skills.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to high-quality work.
- Familiarity with Autodesk Fusion 360 is a plus.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Adaptable to changing priorities and demands.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or training is a plus.
