Position Overview
We are seeking a versatile and motivated engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be involved in various aspects of automation engineering, including electrical design, PLC programming, HMI screen design, and automation software development. The ideal candidate will have a broad skill set, a passion for automation technologies, and the ability to learn and work in a multi-disciplinary environment. This role shall develop the underlying understanding of a mechanical or process system and apply control strategies to optimize system operation. This role will expose the candidate to multiple engineering disciplines.
Key Responsibilities
- Electrical Design Support: Assist in creating electrical CAD drawings for instrumentation and control systems, ensuring designs meet project specifications and industry standards.
- PLC Programming: Develop, test, and implement PLC programs for automation systems, optimizing performance and reliability.
- HMI Design: Design and configure HMI (Human-Machine Interface) screens for control and monitoring of automation systems, ensuring usability and clarity.
- Automation Software Development: Participate in the development, testing, and deployment of automation software solutions that integrate with PLCs, HMIs, and other control systems.
- System Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate automation components, including electrical, mechanical, and software elements, into a cohesive solution.
- Troubleshooting and Support: Provide technical support for commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting of automation systems, both on-site and remotely.
- Documentation: Prepare and maintain detailed documentation for all designs, programs, and processes, ensuring clarity and accuracy for internal and external stakeholders.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering practices, staying current with industry trends and emerging technologies in automation.
- Project Participation: Assist senior engineers and project managers in various project phases, including design, implementation, testing, and maintenance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 0-3 years of experience in an engineering or technical role, with exposure to PLC programming, HMI design, electrical design, and software development

- Basic proficiency in CAD software for electrical design
- Hands-on experience with PLC programming or coding
