Boring Foreman

SUMMARY The Foreman is responsible for field management of assigned projects, ensuring the crew at a jobsite is carrying out their tasks safely and productively and work is being performed according to plan and specifications and is prepared for current and upcoming phases of the project.

Looking for a Foreman with Auger Boring experience.GBM Auger Boring Experience, Soft Ground Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) (Akkerman mfg.) and Hard Rock TBM

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Conduct safety meeting at the start of each day covering all the possible daily hazards. Submit Daily huddle to document the meeting.
• Submit Daily Reports for each day of work in accordance with company policy.
  
  

Complete necessary paperwork daily including receipts, field checks, new hires, etc.

• Submit payroll daily and other reporting per company policy
• Communicate with Superintendent regarding crew's progress and problems
• Responsible for job safety
• Responsible for ensuring the crew follows safety procedures and uses proper PPE.
• Review and understand the job contract and specifications prior to the start of the job
• Responsible for producing quality work in accordance with specifications, contract, and project requirements
• Actively participate in and oversee the work to ensure its being done in accordance with the plans and specifications and proper methods
• Responsible for completing job on time.
• Identify ways to complete job more efficiently without sacrificing quality
• Perform basic layout, survey and measurement as required
• Control costs incurred on project
• Review Load Lists and verify deliver of equipment and materials
• Assign crew members to appropriate tasks
• Provide clear direction to crew members
• Train employees on tasks as required
• Perform tasks associated with the work as part of the crew
• Work with crew to develop a lead laborer who can be responsible for the crew for short periods of time.
• Ensure crew has the tools and equipment needed for job
• Ensure crew is properly maintaining equipment
• Responsible for ensuring all equipment is returned to the shop at the completion of the job
• Maintain current inventories of equipment and material
• Learn technical aspects of underground construction technology
• Refer potential employees for hire
• Update job skills by participating in Company sponsored training
• Overnight or extended travel as required
• Attend annual and other company meetings as required.
