Project Manager – Commercial LPOE Construction (Bisbee, AZ)
1st Shift Schedule: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday
Now Hiring! Join our team and play a key role in the design and construction of a major $275M Commercial Land Port of Entry (LPOE) project. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to lead a team through all phases of this high-impact project.
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Project Delivery Leader, the Project Manager will lead a team of site-based professionals and apply best practices in Construction Management (CM) to oversee scope, schedule, cost, and quality during the design and construction phases. The Project Manager will represent the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) as the CM Agent for the $275M, 3-year Commercial LPOE project, currently in its early design stage.
Key responsibilities include:
- Representing the client during the design and construction process, ensuring the project is managed within established cost, schedule, scope, and quality parameters.
- Leading cross-functional meetings and ensuring effective communication among stakeholders using advanced project management control systems.
- Assisting in the development and management of scopes, budgets, and timelines, including handling any necessary changes to the work.
- Evaluating technical proposals and working with the client to mitigate construction costs and schedule risks.
- Monitoring project performance, including schedule tracking and financial oversight, approving payment requisitions, and preparing executive-level progress reports.
- Assigning tasks and maximizing the contributions of technical resources supporting the project.
- Expediting actions and proactively resolving issues arising during design and construction.
- Managing site-based staff in a fast-paced work environment, ensuring all goals are met efficiently.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Project Manager, with responsibility for managing engineering or construction projects.
- Strong working knowledge of building systems, construction components, technology, contract management, project delivery methods, and team building.
- Experience with GSA and/or Land Port of Entry (LPOE) projects is required.
- must be eligible to work in the United States
