Job Responsibilities
- Design custom shielding products and solutions.
- Perform engineering and project management activities for design development, application, and customer order design.
- Review order documents to ensure they meet the technical requirements of the contract, including exceptions, clarifications, and confirmations to the customer's technical specifications when required.
- Prepare, and/or lead others in preparing, drawings and specifications required to support order placements, manufacturing/assembly operations, etc.
- Provide design leadership, direction, and clarification as required to appropriate drafter(s).
- Research and analyze operational test data to establish performance standards and confirm if designs meet functional and performance specifications.
- Develop and design concepts, and work with EDD designer(s) and drafter(s) to complete designs as required.
- Strong collaboration and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented, efficient, and adaptable to changing deadlines and priorities.
- Proficient with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook; Unit Conversion, Algebra, Drafting Standards.
- Excellent communication and writing skills.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, related field, or equivalent practical experience required.
- 2 or more years of experience in design/application engineering.
