Our client, established in Bloomfield, CT is a packaging equipment company serving world-wide client base under new owner/management. They are seeking a hands-on mechanical engineer/ technician.

Job Description:

• Assemble and finish build all aspects of industrial printing and material handling equipment.
• Provide technical customer support by installing and servicing machinery at customers' sites while meeting or exceeding standards for quality, productivity and safety.
• Perform expert mechanical assembly and installation of pneumatic, vacuum and electrical systems and components.
• Fabricate parts, tooling and fixtures when needed.
• Able to work from diagrams, blue prints, specs and schematics to correctly assemble components that have close fit tolerances.
• Recognizes when parts are out of spec and inspects them to determine root cause.
• Work closely with senior management, must be able to articulate technical documentation and customer information to facilitate and maintain effective business relationships.
• Work with customer's engineering and maintenance teams, on site or remote, to install and train operators, service and troubleshoot equipment.
• Resolving mechanical, electrical and print process application issues; providing complete technical and operational support.
• Develop and maintain long term customer service relationships centered around scheduled field service intervals and preventative maintenance visits.
• Identify wear and tear to anticipate upcoming needs, assuring maximum machine productivity with a goal of zero down time.
  
  

Additional Requirements and Responsibilities Recap:

• BS Engineering Related Degree, with 5 - 10 years of recent related experience
• Experience with Installation and assembly of Mechanical, Electrical, Pneumatics, PLC, kinematics, Tight Tolerance equipment
• Preferred Package Branding, Ink Printer automation equipment
• Preferred experience with Printing, Impression and Print Pressure Branding
