Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct pipeline design calculations, including hydraulic loss, pipe sizing, material selection, and specifications.
- Prepare technical documents and specifications to ensure accurate and comprehensive project deliverables.
- Review and develop pipeline alignments and routes, considering constructability, environmental and geotechnical conditions, utility, and other crossings.
- Perform calculations related to buried pipe design, external load analysis, and trenchless design methodologies.
- Develop engineering drawing packages and pipeline alignment sheets for design efforts involving gas and other pipeline systems.
- Conduct engineering site visits with experienced engineers to assess land features that influence pipeline route selection, constructability, environmental and geotechnical conditions, utility, and other crossings.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited institution, preferably in Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
- 5 or more years of experience in long-distance pipeline or station piping systems design.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- High level of personal integrity and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently with excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Commitment to maintaining a strong focus on health and safety for oneself and others.
- Experience withs design software such as AutoCAD and/or Microstation
- PE Registration is preferred, or eligibility for registration as an Engineer-In-Training (EIT)
