Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist QHSE Manager in revision of Quality Manual and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for ISO 9001:2015 certification
  • Conducts detailed activities, such as, risk assessment, process studies, and process validations to improve prevention and containment of product failures supporting APQP/PPAP submissions
  • Works closely with design and manufacturing engineers to develop, implement, and monitor manufacturing quality plans
  • Inspects raw materials, incoming materials, outgoing products
  • Interact with project managers, operations managers, manufacturing engineers, and assembly technicians to oversee and resolve issues of concern
  • Maintain quality records associated with all inspections, including non-conformances, and corrective/preventive action
  • Compiles customer incident reports for product containment inspections, failure analysis and repair – including photographs and detail of work performed
  • Facilitates autopsy/return of non-conforming materials and supporting documentation
  • Conducts audits on material and processes
  • Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and makes recommendations based on findings
  • Responsible for working safely in support of customer requirements
  • Interact with Purchasing and suppliers on quality related issues
  • May participate in lean improvement events, such as quick kaizens
  • Perform other duties as required Other Duties/Requirements
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Detailed knowledge of IPC-620, CMR, and customer/supplier standards to support quality inspections and planning
  • Knowledge of ISO-9001:2008 (or 2015), and AIAG Core Tools to support APQP/PPAP submittals
  • Demonstrate ability to plan and conduct internal QMS audits as a lead auditor
  • Represent company on quality matters to suppliers and customers in a timely and professional manner
  • Participates in third party audits, including regulatory (UL, CSA), customer, and registrar
  • Determines quality improvement parameters by identifying testing method and samples
  • Strong computer skills: proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
  • Proficient in document control
  • Superior listening, oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Precise attention to detail including accuracy and integrity of information
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of supervisors, peers, vendors, customers, and the public
  • Represent company on quality matters to suppliers and customers in a timely and professional manner
  • Ability to methodically step through "5-Why” to identify root causes and solve problems, dealing with a variety of changing situations under stress
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Represent company on quality matters to suppliers and customers in a timely and professional manner
  • Continually evaluates methods and recommends processes that add value to company products and services
  • Responsible for a safe work environment
  • Must possess professional working proficiency of the English Language
  • Travel: Up to 10% The Quality Policy of the cpmpany states the commitment to satisfy customer requirements. Quality is each employee's responsibility. Employee's must be focused on continuous quality improvement for products and services.

Qualifications

  • Associate/Bachelor's Degree in Business/Engineering or equivalent with 3-5 years of quality related experience.
  • A-620 CIS or ISO9001 Internal Auditor Certification is a plus
