Job Description :
At least 1 year of GD&T experience. Hands-on GD&T not just blueprint reading experience. GD&T, short for Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, is a system for defining and communicating design intent and engineering tolerances that help engineers and manufacturers optimally control variations in manufacturing processes.
Position Summary :
Sensata is currently looking for a Quality Inspector to join our Quality Department. Our client is a producer of high-quality aerospace products, and your role will be to inspect our products for material defects and grade of workmanship using visual, mechanical, dimensional, and functional inspection techniques. Inspections occur throughout our process, from raw material to final inspection of finished goods.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Responsible for all activities involving quality inspections per approved procedures
- Initiate nonconformance material reports (NCMR)
- Performs all aspects of testing related to manufacturing
- Incoming inspections
- First article inspections
- In-process release inspection
- Final QA release of finished goods
- Ensures that all inspections and procedures are properly completed and documented following GDP practices
- Responsible for generating Certificates of Conformance (CoC)
- Reads and understands written instructions and SOPs
- Perform other quality duties as assigned
- CMM Certification preferred
- GD&T (ASME Y14.5-2009)
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
