This position is responsible for designing and implementing IT systems architecture that meet the set business requirements for a complex, long-term program to modernize the existing SAP ERP system to S4/HANA for a regulated utility client.
Location: This position is located in Newark, NJ. Candidate must be local and able to go in the office daily.

Responsibilities:
- Participate in process flow analysis and process redesign along with Business and IT Product Owners
- Produce a detailed functional design document to match customer requirements
- Collaborate with a team of Developers and Engineers to determine the most appropriate technical strategy and designs to meet business needs
- Engage with clients in understanding their requirements, scoping, discovering and defining solutions, explaining business benefits and use cases, and a roadmap to meet their goals
- Assist the business in understanding the effort, risk, and effect of making changes to existing architecture
- Produce a technical specification for custom development and systems integration requirements
- Design workflows and assignment rules to automate manual processes
- Create and maintain system-related documentation, such as business requirements, process flows, data maps, configuration worksheets, etc.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related degree with eight plus (8) years of experience. May consider more years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
- Strong knowledge/experience in SAP S/4 HANA and with relevant implementation/upgrade experience
- Strong requirements and design documentation skills are a must
- Ability to understand business requirements and convert them into solution designs
- Ability to ask the right questions to define a solution
- Ability to understand Methodologies (Agile, SDLC, SCRUM) and other industry business fundamentals
- Knowledgeable in the design and construction architectures that enable well-integrated transaction, collaborative solutions
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Utility experience preferred
