SAP Solutions Architect

6 month contract, possible extension

Must be local to NJ and within a commutable distance to Newark 07102.

We are seeking a Solution Architect who is motivated by variety, is seeking a challenging environment for professional growth, and is interested in supporting large information technology projects for one of our clients, an Investor-Owned Utility client headquartered in New Jersey.

This position is responsible for designing and implementing IT systems architecture that meet the set business requirements for a complex, long-term program to modernize the existing SAP ERP system to S4/HANA for a regulated utility client.

Location: This position is located in Newark, NJ. Candidate must be local and able to go in the office daily.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in process flow analysis and process redesign along with Business and IT Product Owners
• Produce a detailed functional design document to match customer requirements
• Collaborate with a team of Developers and Engineers to determine the most appropriate technical strategy and designs to meet business needs
• Engage with clients in understanding their requirements, scoping, discovering and defining solutions, explaining business benefits and use cases, and a roadmap to meet their goals
• Assist the business in understanding the effort, risk, and effect of making changes to existing architecture
• Produce a technical specification for custom development and systems integration requirements
• Design workflows and assignment rules to automate manual processes
• Create and maintain system-related documentation, such as business requirements, process flows, data maps, configuration worksheets, etc.
  
  

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related degree with eight plus (8) years of experience. May consider more years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
• Strong knowledge/experience in SAP S/4 HANA and with relevant implementation/upgrade experience
• Strong requirements and design documentation skills are a must
• Ability to understand business requirements and convert them into solution designs
• Ability to ask the right questions to define a solution
• Ability to understand Methodologies (Agile, SDLC, SCRUM) and other industry business fundamentals
• Knowledgeable in the design and construction architectures that enable well-integrated transaction, collaborative solutions
• Strong presentation and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
