What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Buyer position at PEAK Technical Staffing USA?
We are looking for a Senior BUYER primarily responsible for assuring that procurement activity results in on time shipments to customers and that the required level of materials is received on time meeting planning, scheduling and coordination of production for all companies.
Essential Job Function :
- Responsible for overall planning, scheduling and coordination of production
- Organizes plans and prioritizes buying activities and executes them
- Develop and maintain supplier / vendor relationships
- Work with Engineering to source new components
- Ensure timely responses to internal and external customer inquiries
- Ability to evaluate vendor quotations utilizing appropriate negotiating and purchasing techniques to ensure quality, delivery, service and price
- Prepares and reviews contracts, bids, proposals and vendor agreements for legal correctness, price, acceptability of items and specifications
- Prepares and issues purchase orders, change notices, and review requisitions for materials, equipment and supplies
- Creates and maintains vendor records; ensures accuracy of all vendor data in ERP system
