What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Associate position at PEAK Technical Staffing USA?

Work time : Mon to Fri 8 : 00am - 5pm with 1 h lunch break (not paid)

Paid extra time (allowed prior approval)

Willing to arm and disarm the office alarm and responsible for opening and closing the office as well

Warehouse experience (ours is quite small and with limited (single digit) inbounds / outbounds per day),

Obtain shipping quotes from different forwarders, compare different offers and select the right one for the job

Independent and proactive to call and contact forwarders and clients to keep track with the deliveries

Experience with forklift

Use power and hand tools for wrapping, preparing crates and pallets

Able to prepare shipping documents and making BOL

Check inventory status and cycle counts

Examine incoming materials

Basic mechanical experience

Willing to do small repairs jobs (mainly assemble and disassemble some mechanical items jointed with nuts and bolts and cleaning them before we deliver back to our clients (maybe I will buy a sand blaster cabinet to be used with compressed air)

Because this position is more like an office person than a pure warehouse person, the candidate must be used to work in an office environment and knowledgeable with Microsoft Office & Excel.

The candidate needs to work with our ERP system, we need someone mentally flexible to learn new software and procedures
