Scope
Manages and coordinates the Civil / Structural Department and assigns work to Department Personnel and under direct supervision of the President. Reviews project work, calculations, specifications, reports and project studies.
Qualifications
- Broad experience with project development from concept phase to engineering design and deliverable bid and construction phase, including full drawing and specification packages.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with project teams, vendors, manufactures and clients.
- Bachelor of Science from a four (4) year accredited college or university.
- Minimum of twenty-five (25) years of Civil / Structural engineering experience in Heavy Industrial Work.
- PE registration(s).
- Ability to read and understand GA's and equipment drawings.
- Experienced in writing or reviewing construction specifications.
- Understanding of IBC, ASCE, AISC and ACI codes.
- STAAD, SP Mats, Emercalc, MathCAD, or Microsoft Excel experience.
- Familiar with structural steel and foundation design.
- Able to conduct field investigations to verify design conditions.
