What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical Designer position at PEAK Technical Staffing?
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop electrical and electronic designs that meet customer requirements and specifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate design components, including controllers, power electronics, protection equipment, and human machine interfaces.
- Craft circuit designs for high-speed digital, microprocessor, FPGA, communication, logic, HMI, analog, input sensing, output control, and high-power applications.
- Coordinate with firmware and software engineers to ensure seamless integration of electronic designs.
- Select standard parts and proven circuits when feasible, and calculate electrical stress information for components used in the design.
- Create electrical schematics and supervise the generation of printed circuit boards and bills of material.
- Evaluate design concepts through theoretical analysis, proof-of-concept prototypes, and design reviews as necessary.
- Supervise engineers and technicians on assigned projects and evaluate test data.
- Verify the accuracy of final schematics, printed circuit boards, and bills of material before releasing them to the Mechanical Engineering section.
- Develop the Theory of Operation documentation and assist Technical Writers in creating instruction manuals and sales bulletins.
- Estimate material and engineering resources required for quoted jobs and travel as needed for training, project support, or other design-related tasks.
