What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior/Lead Electrical Engineer position at PEAK Technical Staffing?
Our Client Company is seeking a full time Senior / Lead Electrical Engineer I for their Energy, Manufacturing & Bioprocessing department to join the Baltimore, Maryland office. This business unit supports several market sectors including but not limited to industrial food & beverage, refining, power, and advanced biofuels markets. This is a Full-Time position. This senior engineer will serve as the supervisor and technical lead of 2-4 individuals at the Ellicott City (Baltimore), Maryland office .
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Serve as project discipline lead and oversight of 2-4 employees.
- Develop electrical design documents and drawings.
- Analyze and approve the work of others. Monitor the work performed by the team.
- Conceptual and detailed design of low voltage power distribution, lighting, grounding, motor control systems, PLC / Client, HMI's process equipment and instrumentation.
- Interact with clients, customers, officials, contractors and others.
- Lead project meetings and make presentations.
- Perform typical electrical calculations including but not limited to voltage drop, short circuit, coordination studies, arch flash, relay settings, conduit fill, lighting, and grounding.
- Develop specifications and datasheets for electrical equipment including transformers, switchgear, MCCs.
- Travel to client project sites to support field walk downs and as-built efforts.
- Monitor allocated resources to ensure that the work performed is within project estimates.
- Works with Design / Engineering Managers to ensure that project schedule will be met, and complete documents are provided for each project.
