Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; additional certification or education in medical assisting preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar role is preferred, especially in a clinic focused on hormone therapy or weight management.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers required; Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA) preferred.
- Technical Skills: Must be certified in phlebotomy. Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems and strong computer skills.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational abilities with attention to detail, particularly in maintaining accurate medical records and ensuring timely patient communication.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and sit, stand, or walk for extended periods.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Support
- Scope of Practice: Assist with clinical tasks, including taking vital signs, drawing labs, managing prescription refills, and supporting healthcare providers in delivering personalized patient care.
- Patient-Centered Care: Ensure each patient’s unique needs are met through individualized treatment plans and compassionate care.
- Relationship-Based Care: Build strong, trusting relationships with patients to facilitate optimal health outcomes and enhance their overall well-being.
Administrative Duties:
- Documentation and Record-Keeping: Ensure all patient paperwork, including consent forms and medical histories, is up to date and accurately maintained.
- Patient Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for patient inquiries, appointment scheduling, and follow-up communications, ensuring clarity and responsiveness in all interactions.
- Operational Support: Manage general office tasks such as answering phones, managing emails, and maintaining a smooth and efficient clinic environment.
Compensation and Growth:
- Pay: $20-25 per hour, with clear opportunities for pay increases tied to individual performance and clinic growth.
- Flexible Hours: Work within our clinic hours of 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, with flexible scheduling and the potential to transition to full-time as the clinic expands.
