The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience installing and building complex Audio-Visual Multimedia (AVMM) and Local Area Network (LAN) systems, both on-site and off-site. The role requires the ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues related to audio, video, switching, and control systems. Candidates who can discuss past projects and provide strong references are highly preferred.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure operational functionality of A/V systems by identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving failures.
- Maintain detailed troubleshooting logs documenting failures and resolution activities.
- Conduct periodic maintenance and inspections (PMI), recording all activities in a log.
- Train on-site personnel on the use of A/V and conference room equipment.
- Provide assistance and resolve equipment-related issues as needed.
- Address and resolve system issues within one (1) week. For extended outages, provide a status update to the Project Lead with supporting documentation.
- Mitigate IA equipment risks by performing required scans, resolving issues identified, and applying system software updates (e.g., antivirus definitions).
- Maintain accurate inventory lists for all A/V equipment and software, documenting serial numbers for new, broken, or replaced equipment.
- Utilize, interpret, and generate technical drawings and documentation.
- Share lessons learned with team members across sites to strengthen enterprise capabilities.
- Submit monthly status reports and PMI logs to the supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- Security Clearance:
- Must hold a TS/SCI clearance and be able to pass a CI Polygraph interview.
- Technical Skills:
- At least 5 years of experience in A/V system operations, maintenance, or integration.
- Knowledge in:
- Low voltage wiring and cabling, soldering, and connector termination.
- Rack wiring and equipment/device assembly with appropriate mounts.
- Integration of audio and video teleconferencing systems.
- Cable termination (fiber, copper, audio).
- Analog, SDI, and HD-SDI signal processing and conversion.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to earn CompTIA Security CE certification within six (6) months of hire.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong multitasking and detail-oriented capabilities.
