Responsibilities
- Patient care: LPNs provide basic care, including taking vital signs, recording medical history, and administering medication
- Patient support: LPNs help patients with daily tasks like eating, dressing, and bathing
- Patient communication: LPNs communicate with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals about changes in a patient's health or behavior
- Patient monitoring: LPNs monitor patients' health and wellbeing, and report any needs to other healthcare professionals
- Patient education: LPNs explain treatments and procedures to patients and their families
