Responsibilities
- Assess health: Evaluate residents' health conditions and record their medical histories
- Develop care plans: Create and implement care plans for residents
- Administer treatments: Give medications, injections, and IVs, and prepare treatments
- Monitor vital signs: Check residents' vital signs and monitor for side effects
- Supervise staff: Oversee Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs)
- Coordinate care: Work with doctors, specialists, and other healthcare professionals
- Manage emergencies: Respond to and manage emergency situations
- Provide specialized care: Provide care for residents with specific health conditions
- Communicate with families: Interact with residents' families and loved ones, and report changes in their health
