Divisional Liaison - Accounting & Operations Specialist
The Divisional Liaison - Accounting & Operations Specialist serves as the primary liaison between Finance and all departments of Peapack Private Bank & Trust. This role involves responding to accounting and operational questions/issues received from various Operations areas, evaluating their impact on the bank's financial statements, and performing monthly recording of Peapack Private Wealth Management's revenue. Additionally, this position monitors the bank's reciprocal deposit program, completes the quarterly CECL Key Control Log for ACL and AQR, and quarterly valuation and analysis of the bank's interest rate (hedging) swaps and Loan Level swaps.

Key Responsibilities:
- Wealth Division Revenue Review: Including quarterly billing/monthly recording and analysis of revenue, reviewing journal entries to record revenue, and tracking wealth fees to be collected.
- Liaison with Operations Departments: Providing accounting assistance to Loan, Wealth Deposit/Escrow, and Treasury Management departments as needed.
- Monthly FASB Fees Review: Reviewing prepayment penalties, loan payment deferral reconciliations, loan sale entries, etc.
- Reciprocal Deposit Program Monitoring: Capturing daily activity and tracking related interest to be paid on each account.
- Quarterly CECL Tracking: Preparing documentation to support financial reporting related to Allowance for Credit Losses (ACL) and Asset Quality Review (AQR) for the bank's Loan and Lease portfolio.
- Interest Rate and Loan Level Swap Accounting: Quarterly valuation analysis of swap positions, posting MTM adjustment entries, and updating summary reports. Preparation of quarterly swap-related disclosures for 10-Q/10-K reporting and Call Reporting.
- General Accounting Functions: Check signing, review of account reconciliations, and assistance with internal and external audit requests.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or equivalent work experience.
- One to three years of accounting experience required.
- Prior banking experience desired.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Must be organized, accurate, reliable, and detail-oriented.
- Good oral and written communication skills, including ability to deal effectively and tactfully with all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency in Excel required.
