Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Efficiency: Ensure the warehouse operates at peak efficiency by supervising, organizing, and training warehouse staff. Establish and manage operational goals and performance metrics.
- Systems Maintenance: Maintain warehouse operations systems, including product handling, storage requirements, equipment utilization, and safety protocols.
- Team Management: Train and manage the warehouse team, address day-to-day operational issues, and work towards achieving both short- and long-term performance goals.
- Daily Operations Oversight: Supervise daily warehouse activities, including quality assurance, inventory control, space management, logistics, floor productivity, and safety protocols.
- Workflows and Planning: Review and prepare workflows, staffing requirements, space allocations, equipment layouts, and action plans to meet productivity, quality, and efficiency standards.
- Safety and Compliance: Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing standards and procedures in compliance with legal regulations.
- Maintenance: Inspect equipment, tools, and machinery regularly; oversee general maintenance when necessary.
- Productivity Analysis: Meet regularly with warehouse leads to analyze productivity and develop actionable plans for loss prevention and improvement.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Three or more years of experience in a warehouse role managing hourly employees.
- Proficiency with warehouse procedures and policies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and leadership qualities.
- Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of company staff.
- Ability to deliver effective feedback, both written and verbal.
- Associate’s degree (or equivalent) in logistics or supply chain management.
- Ability to communicate in more than one language.
