Pearce is looking for a dynamic, visionary Vice President of Technology. This is an opportunity to architect the future of our technology ecosystem, elevate our capabilities, and build next-generation products that will power our company’s growth. As VP of Technology, you will modernize our IT organization, establish a cutting-edge product platform operating model, and build a culture of innovation and technical excellence. You will drive software architecture strategy, oversee cybersecurity, infrastructure, and business intelligence, and lead integrations from M&A activity, ensuring seamless technology alignment across newly acquired businesses. Reporting to the SVP of Innovation & Technology, you will play a pivotal role in defining the future of technology at Pearce.
Core Responsibilities:
Technology Strategy & Execution
- Lead the transition to a modern product platform operating model, ensuring our technology foundation is scalable, flexible, and innovation ready.
- Define and implement a forward-thinking product and platform strategy that accelerates business growth and unlocks new opportunities.
- Develop a best-in-class software architecture, enabling the creation of new digital products and seamless integrations across our ecosystem.
- Drive cloud adoption, API-first design, and microservices architecture, ensuring technology agility and efficiency.
Business Intelligence & Data Strategy
- Oversee a next-generation data architecture and strategy, ensuring data is leveraged as a strategic asset across the business.
- Implement advanced analytics, AI-driven insights, and real-time visualizations to support data-driven decision-making.
- Champion a data-first culture, ensuring teams have access to actionable intelligence that drives business success.
Leadership & Talent Development
- Lead, mentor, and upskill a growing team, instilling a culture of technical excellence, innovation, and continuous learning.
- Build a high-performing technology organization capable of delivering complex software solutions and managing mission-critical infrastructure.
- Attract and retain top engineering and technology talent, fostering an environment where they can thrive.
Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Modernization
- Oversee cybersecurity strategy, compliance, and risk management, ensuring a secure and resilient technology environment.
- Lead efforts to modernize IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and scalability.
- Balance security with speed and agility, enabling rapid product development while maintaining enterprise-grade protection.
M&A Technology Integrations
- Play a key role in assessing, integrating, and optimizing technology from M&A activity, ensuring seamless onboarding and alignment with our tech stack.
- Develop a repeatable framework for technology due diligence, system integration, and data migration to accelerate post-merger success.
Operational Excellence & Innovation
- Establish best practices for software development, DevOps, and product delivery, driving continuous improvement and agility.
- Champion modern engineering principles, including automation, CI/CD, and AI-driven development.
- Implement metrics and KPIs to track technology performance, innovation impact, and business alignment.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 10 years of technology leadership experience, with a strong background in software architecture, product development, and technology transformation.
- Proven track record of building and scaling technology organizations, driving innovation, and leading high-impact teams.
- Deep expertise in software architecture, microservices, API design, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and modern DevOps practices.
- Experience implementing a product platform operating model in a fast-growing or transforming company.
- Strong understanding of business intelligence, data engineering, analytics platforms, and AI-driven decision-making.
- Experience with M&A technology integrations, ensuring smooth transitions and maximum value realization.
- A visionary mindset with the ability to align technology with business strategy and drive a tech-forward company culture.
