Core Responsibilities
- Installation Projects: Perform HVAC installation, replacement, and upgrades of commercial cooling systems, ensuring quality and timely completion.
- Project Planning: Manage onsite time and workflow to complete projects in an efficient manner.
- Self Sufficiency: Ensure adherence to project specifications and safety standards.
- Site Travel: Travel to remote work sites as needed. 80-90% Travel Required
- Documentation and Reporting: Complete daily reports and maintain accurate documentation to support project objectives.
- Quality Control and Testing: Conduct performance checks on upgrades and seasonal equipment, verifying system functionality and quality.
- Codes: Experience with State/Local/Federal mechanical and electrical codes.
- Mechanical Drawings: Able to read and understand technical specifications and construction documents to meet engineer and customer’s requirements.
Core Experience
- Minimum of 7 years in commercial and/or industrial HVAC installation. Data center CRAC (Computer Room AC) experience desired.
- Advanced knowledge of mechanical and electrical components of HVAC systems.
- Comprehensive understanding of 20 tonnage HVACs, CRAC Units, RTU, Water Chillers, & split system units. Advance understanding of Single & 3-Phase Electrical (including low voltage circuits), and Hydronic systems.
- Ability to understand and install both supply/return duct work, with backdraft dampers.
- Ability to work and coordinate with sub-contractors. Certified in Liebert HVAC start-up & commissioning of new units. If not certified, be willing to become certified.
- At Pearce safety is our number one concern. Candidates must be able to comply with OSHA/EPA standards and regulations.
- Ability to utilize a phone, computer, and tablet to work projects, complete reports, and communicate with teams. Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record; must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- May require passing a DOT physical.
