ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Coordinate the creation of the organization’s fundraising plan in conjunction with the
Executive Director
• Develop department annual plan (based upon organization’s fundraising plan), goals,
performance outcomes, plans to achieve outcomes, and methods of measuring progress
toward the outcomes
• Research, cultivate and steward relationships with new and existing donors
• Develop and present proposals to donors for funding
• Engage in networking activities or other opportunities to generate potential prospects for
cultivation
• Cultivate and expand planned giving and estate giving opportunities with new and
existing donors and integrate planned gift objectives into individual donor requests
• Oversee, plan, and manage fundraising activities and events
• Ensure services are delivered in an efficient and effective manner monitoring compliance
with appropriate governance, including that in signed contracts
• Coordinate with program team members to ensure and report on the organization’s
fulfillment of funded objectives
• Lead the development of PBC marketing materials, community, and public relations
• Teach, train and mentor resource development staff to ensure timely and quality work is
performed in alignment with organizational and departmental goals
• Provide support, coaching, direction and annual performance reviews of all direct reports
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor’s Degree in related field OR 4 years experience in a related field.
• Six years fund raising experience in nonprofit fundraising with at least four years of
experience in major gifts fundraising
• Four years of experience working in nonprofit communications
• Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) preferred
• Two years of supervision experience including recruiting, hiring and implementing
progressive discipline
• Excellent communicator both verbally and in writing
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work for self and others
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information
• Computer and keyboard proficiency with knowledge of DonorPerfect, Google Suite and
MS Office
• Ability to pass an Oregon Department of Human Services background check
• Possession of a valid Oregon Driver’s License and insurability to drive company
vehicles
• Ability to relate to persons with various abilities and advocate for their needs
Salary : $60,000 - $73,000
