Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing high-quality beverages and food items. Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages, ensuring consistency and quality in every cup.
- Engage with customers to take orders, provide recommendations, and answer any questions regarding menu items.
- Operate cash registers and point-of-sale (POS) systems accurately, handling cash and credit transactions efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the barista station, dining area, and equipment.
- Assist with food preparation, including pastries and desserts, adhering to food handling safety standards.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service for all customers.
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment and enhance customer experiences.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food handling or as a barista is preferred but not required.
- Strong sales skills with the ability to upsell products effectively.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
- Proficiency in operating cash registers and POS systems.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of bever preparation techniques is a plus but can be learned on the job.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
