What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dry Fertilizer Plant Operator position at Pearl City Elevator, Inc?
Position Overview:
Duties include:
- Knowledge and ability to learn the Kahler, Merchant Ag, Field Alytics Software, Slingshot and Farm Mobile
- Will be cross trained on liquid fertilizer and chemical plant operations.
- Ability to schedule, and track multiple spreading units
- Ability to schedule, dispatch, and track multiple tendering units
- Multitask during busy application seasons
- Be willing and able to work extended hours in Spring and Fall
- Must have the ability to work under extreme pressure at times
- Inventory management
- Ability to work at high elevations and climb 100 plus feet
- Able to take plant ownership and maintain control on that site
- Willing to learn railroad safety and operations
Requirements:
- Must have attention to detail preparing forms, timely inspections, inventory cycle counts and Kahler inventory management
- Have ability to run heavy equipment loader
- Must have strong communication skills along with problem solving skills.
- Strong computer/technology skills.
- Must have strong organizational skills.
- Ability to multi‐task and work well in a team.
- Must have a valid CDL driver’s license with hazmat endorsement – or have the ability to obtain.
- Must have a clean driving record.
- This is a safety sensitive position.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $32.00 per hour
