Seeking a highly motivated and experienced full-time insurance coordinator for a fast-paced, advanced tech, growing dental practice. The job will involve overseeing insurance billing and verification, daily collections, and accounts receivable management. Our perfect candidate is friendly, caring, conscientious, and hard-working, with a warm, bubbly personality. We do all aspects of dentistry including large cosmetic and reconstructive cases, implants, root canals, and minor orthodontics, so you must be comfortable with talking about large treatment plans and different treatments.
*Pay is negotiable and will be based on experience and skill
Required Qualifications
- 2 years of experience successfully processing insurance claims and completing other front desk duties are required
- Ability to prioritize
- Ability to read and understand insurance EOB’s and insurance correspondence
- Ability to focus and successfully meet monthly or quarterly goals set by Management
- Ability to analyze accounts and procedures
- 3 years experience in a dental / healthcare organization
- 2 years of experience with Eaglesoft dental software
- Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology

Job Responsibilities
- Ability to educate and encourage patients to get the dental treatment they need.
- Knowledge of dental insurance policies, limitations and exclusions and coordinating accurate treatment plans is required.
- Process Electronic and paper claims on a daily basis. Completion of assigned pre-bill review work queue and rejection work queue on a daily basis.
- Prepare claims accurately by adhering to all CMS and specific insurance guidelines.
- Review, validate, update and correct, if necessary, demographic and insurance information on specific claims and on patient accounts.
- Process claim corrections promptly and accurately. Communication directly with payers may be necessary to further assess rejection reason.
- Communicate with coworkers, management and practice staff regarding billing rejections/pre-bill and any billing problems that arise.
- In the event a claim does not pass the automated edits, must determine the required corrective action, and document repetitive errors.
- Notify management of detected errors, particularly patterns of errors or inaccuracies, for all files and documentation.
- Assists with period (month) and year end system closes required.
- Assist with check-outs, treatment/financial option presentations, and phone calls as needed.
