We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Biller to join our family-owned integrated primary care clinic. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately processing and submitting insurance claims, managing patient billing inquiries, and ensuring timely payments for services rendered. You will work closely with our healthcare providers and administrative team to verify patient information, code diagnoses and procedures, and resolve billing discrepancies. This position requires strong knowledge of medical billing practices, insurance policies, and an ability to navigate both electronic and paper claim systems. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of Medical Billing and Coding:
- Strong understanding of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems, as well as insurance payer requirements, billing practices, and reimbursement processes.
Attention to Detail:
- Ability to accurately input and verify patient information, coding, and charges to ensure proper billing and timely reimbursement.
Familiarity with Insurance Policies and Regulations:
- Knowledge of various insurance plans, including private, Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance, as well as compliance with HIPAA and other healthcare regulations.
Problem-Solving Skills:
- Capable of identifying billing discrepancies, resolving claim denials, and communicating effectively with insurance companies and patients to correct errors and facilitate timely payments.

Qualifications:
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in healthcare administration, medical billing, or a related field preferred.
Experience:
- At least 1-2 years of experience in medical billing, coding, or related healthcare administrative roles, preferably in a primary care or family practice setting.
- Familiarity with insurance verification, claims submission, and managing patient billing inquiries.
Certifications:
- Certification in Medical Billing and Coding (e.g., CPC, CBCS) is highly desirable, but not required.
- Basic knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality standards.
