Position Summary
The Product Analyst is responsible for analyzing and improving auto insurance products and processes to enhance business performance, customer satisfaction, and market competitiveness. This role involves data analysis, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and providing actionable insights to optimize the company's products and services. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a passion for problem-solving, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Classification: Exempt.
Location: Coral Springs, Florida.
Position type and expected hours of work: Full time (40 hours).
Reports to: VP of Product
Essential Duties and Functions
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
· Analyze auto insurance product performance by reviewing key metrics such as loss ratios, customer retention rates, and premium growth.
· Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor offerings, and customer preferences to inform product improvements.
· Gather, organize, and interpret data from multiple sources, including claims systems, policy data, and customer feedback, to identify areas for improvement.
· Collaborate with underwriting, claims, and operations teams to align product offerings with company goals and regulatory compliance.
· Assist in the development and implementation of product enhancements and new offerings to meet market demands and improve profitability.
· Create and maintain product documentation, including business requirements, process flows, and policy forms.
· Monitor regulatory changes and ensure products comply with state and federal guidelines.
· Develop and deliver reports and dashboards to communicate product performance insights to stakeholders.
· Work with IT and data teams to ensure accurate data collection and reporting for product analysis.
· Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency within the product lifecycle.
· Support pricing and actuarial teams by providing data-driven insights into rating adjustments and product design.
· Assist in user acceptance testing (UAT) for product changes and enhancements to ensure they meet business requirements.
· Conduct post-launch analysis of product changes to evaluate their impact and identify further optimization opportunities.
· Provide training and support to internal teams on new product features and enhancements.
· Contribute to strategic planning efforts by offering data-driven recommendations for product development and market positioning.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Responsibilities)
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
· Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, or business intelligence platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
· Solid understanding of the insurance industry, particularly in auto insurance products, is preferred.
· Knowledge of market research methodologies and tools to evaluate trends and competitive landscapes.
· Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
· Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present findings to diverse audiences.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams to achieve objectives.
· Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies, including Agile practices, is a plus.
Required Education and Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Data Science, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
· Minimum of 2 years of experience in product analysis, data analysis, or a similar role, preferably within the insurance industry.
· Experience with insurance product development, pricing, or underwriting is a plus.
