Description:
The Restorative Aide is responsible Coordinates, implements, and provides restorative nursing care to residents within the scope of the restorative aide/certified nurse assistant responsibilities. Works with the clinical team to maximize and maintain the physical functioning and emotional wellness of all residents.
Responsibilities:
- Oversees, directs and participates in restorative programs initiated for individual patients.
- Directs and participates in all programs under the restorative umbrella.
- Participates in and receives nursing report upon reporting for duty.
- Communicates with clinical team regarding goal setting and approaches to individual patient’s needs.
- Attends rehab rounds and communicates the status of all patients with regard to rehab/restorative needs.
- Maintains restorative nursing progress/documentation records on all patients participating in any restorative program.
- Visits with each patient daily and/or as needed to assure that the program is appropriate and productive.
- Visits all new admissions to identify restorative needs and communicates those needs to appropriate personnel.
- Assists in communicating with families concerning patient’s progress in care planning conferences or on a one-on-one basis with the family and the customer.
- Remains familiar and proficient with using wheelchairs, walkers, canes, lifts, scales and other equipment used in the restorative programs.
- Monitors and assists with the performance
Qualifications:
- Illinois Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) Certification (Required)
- CPR Certification (Preferred)
- One Year prior Restorative Aide experience in healthcare preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
Shifts:
1st: 6:30 am – 2:30 pm
