Optician

Job Description: We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as an Optician. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service and support. Additionally, you will assist our optometrists with various tasks related to patient care and eyewear selection.

Responsibilities:

• Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
• Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
• Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries
• Verify insurance coverage and process payments
• Assist optometrists with preliminary eye exams and tests
• Educate patients on proper eyewear care and maintenance
• Help patients select frames and lenses that meet their needs and preferences
• Perform frame adjustments
• Maintain a clean and organized reception area and optical boutique

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a medical or optical office preferred
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Proficiency with computer systems and electronic health records
• Knowledge of basic optical principles and terminology is a plus

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00 per hour

Schedule:

• No nights
• Weekends as needed
