We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Optometrist to join our team. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough eye examinations to assess vision and detect eye diseases.
- Diagnose and treat various visual disorders and conditions.
- Prescribe corrective lenses and other treatments as necessary.
- Maintain detailed medical records of patient visits, treatments, and outcomes.
- Educate patients on proper eye care practices and the importance of regular eye examinations.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Stay updated with advancements in optometry practices and technologies.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including HIPAA standards.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid state optometry license to practice.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to eye care.
- Familiarity with aseptic techniques and the ability to perform vital signs assessments.
- Experience in pediatrics is a plus but not required.
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
- Ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment while maintaining individual accountability.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems is preferred.
