Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Optical Technician to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in conducting preliminary eye exams and vision tests
- Prepare patients for eye examinations by obtaining medical history and explaining procedures
- Perform diagnostic tests including visual acuity, tonometry, and lensometry
- Assist with contact lens fittings and dispensing eyeglasses
- Maintain accurate patient records using medical coding and electronic health record systems like Epic
- Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, verifying insurance coverage, and processing billing
- Provide exceptional patient care by addressing inquiries and ensuring a positive experience
- Collaborate with the optical team to deliver high-quality services
Requirements:
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with patients
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
- Experience in retail sales or customer service is a plus
