Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Optician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for eye care and providing exceptional service to our patients.
Responsibilities:
- Assist patients in selecting eyewear frames that complement their features and meet their prescription needs
- Take accurate measurements for eyeglasses and contact lenses
- Adjust and repair eyewear as needed
- Educate patients on proper eyewear care and usage
- Work closely with ophthalmologists to ensure accurate prescription fulfillment
- Maintain inventory of eyewear and optical supplies
Experience:
- Experience in the field of optometry or ophthalmology is preferred
- Knowledge of medical records management related to optometric services
- Familiarity with aseptic techniques in handling optical equipment
- Understanding of ocular anatomy and physiology
- Sales experience in promoting eyewear products is a plus
- Proficiency in laboratory procedures related to optical services
- Ability to work with patients of all ages, including pediatrics
Nice-to-have Skills:
- Familiarity with vital signs assessment related to eye health
- Understanding of pediatric optometry principles and practices
