Salary Range: Up to $110,000 or commensurate with experience

About the Role:

Pearpop is seeking a highly motivated, proactive, and organized Assistant Controller to support the organization as a key Finance team member. As an Assistant Controller, this individual will lead all financial reporting processes and cash management functions, such as vendor and expense management, invoicing, and collections across the organization. This role will interact regularly with senior management across multiple business lines on operational and strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities Include (but Are Not Limited To)

• Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, including the income statement, balance sheet, and cashflow statements
• Manage all accounting functions including the month-end-close process, order-to-cash (OTC) and procure-to-pay (P2P) processes from end-to-end
• Following up with customers on late or missed payments
• Manage all vendor payments and ensure payouts are correctly applied
• Manage the cash and credit card balances and maintain liquidity
• Ensure all reconciliations and financial reporting are done timely and accurately
• Provide financial analytical support as required
• Supervise and mentor direct reports to ensure their job responsibilities are completed timely
• Liaise with external tax preparers on various tax and regulatory filings
• Maintain and improve internal controls to safeguard the company's assets
• Collaborate with leadership teams on strategic initiatives
  
  

What You Bring To The Table

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or other business field with 7 years of progressive experience
• Experience managing a team through month-end and year-end accounting process
• Proficiency in excel, google sheets, salesforce, and SAGE Intacct
• Experience with payment platforms such as Tipalti, Bill.com and Expensify.com
• Experience in a high-growth start-up is preferred
• Experience with PEOs such as Trinet
• Background in content creation/talent management is preferred
• Experience in managing customers and collections
• Proven ability to work autonomously with a proactive mindset, easily adapting to quickly changing priorities
