We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Property Manager / Personal Assistant to support the founder in day-to-day operations, property management tasks, and business administration.

Additional Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Property Manager to oversee the daily operations of our residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate will possess strong negotiation skills and a comprehensive understanding of property leasing, maintenance, and legal requirements. This role requires excellent customer service abilities and a commitment to maintaining high standards for property management.

Duties

  • Manage property leasing processes, including marketing available units, conducting showings, and negotiating lease agreements.
  • Oversee property maintenance by coordinating repairs and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of tenant interactions, lease agreements, and maintenance requests through effective data entry practices.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing tenant inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with local laws and regulations related to property management, including knowledge of Section 8 housing programs.
  • Implement legal administrative procedures to protect the interests of the property owner while maintaining tenant rights.
  • Utilize strong phone etiquette to communicate effectively with tenants, vendors, and stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular inspections of properties to ensure they meet quality standards and address any maintenance needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administrative Support: Manage the investor’s calendar, appointments, and email correspondence, ensuring all tasks are prioritized and deadlines are met.
  • Property Management Assistance: Help with the coordination of maintenance requests, repairs, and tenant inquiries.
  • Financial Tracking: Assist with tracking income and expenses for rental properties, help organize invoices, receipts, and other financial documentation for easy access.
  • Market Research: Conduct research on potential new properties, trends in the rental market, and provide insights or suggestions for investment opportunities.
  • Vendor Management: Liaise with contractors, cleaners, landscapers, and other service providers to ensure properties are well-maintained.
  • Tenant Relations: Help facilitate communication with tenants, ensuring that issues are addressed promptly and professionally.
  • Document Preparation: Assist in preparing and managing leases, contracts, and other legal or property-related documents.
  • Other Tasks as Needed: Support ad hoc projects related to property management, investments, and business growth.

Experience

  • Proven experience in property management or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a track record in property leasing and sales.
  • Familiarity with property maintenance processes and legal requirements governing rental properties.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle challenging situations professionally.
  • Proficient in data entry and record keeping to maintain organized documentation of all property-related activities.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Highly organized with excellent time-management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Experience in property management or real estate investment is a plus but not required.
  • Proficiency with office software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Suite) and property management software (e.g., Buildium, AppFolio) is desirable.
  • A proactive problem-solver with a customer-service mindset.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.

Pay: $11.35 per hour

Expected hours: 40.00 per week
