Successful 50-year-old full line industrial food ingredient distributor is looking for a well-rounded, experienced Customer Support Associate to join our busy Customer Support department.
We're looking for someone with a minimum of 2 years customer service office experience. Someone with an inside sales background would be ideally suited for this position. The right candidate will be able to successfully interact with all departments including purchasing, sales, inventory and warehouse as well as customers, and 3PL carriers.
Job Functions:
- Handle all phone, e-mail, written inquiries from customers and sales representatives regarding price, delivery, order placement, order entry, order status, product information
- Inform customer of items not ordered or out of stock per regular ordering process offering substitutions where available.
- Expedite required changes and appropriate solutions, and follow up to ensure resolution
- Provide quality service and interactive communication to build trust in a long-term customer relationship
- Edit and process orders received from customers and sales reps as well as make any changes to facilitate shipment
- Expedite order processing with various departments to meet customer delivery dates
- High volume order entry
- Research and resolve order discrepancies
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 2-years working in a customer service office environment
- Strong communication skills- written and verbal.
- Experience working for a distributor is a big plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Infor knowledge base would be helpful but is not required
- Possess efficient typing skills of at least 60 wpm
- Professional, customer-oriented telephone manner
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good listening and critical thinking skills
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize duties, and manage time effectively
- Team oriented- this is an interdependent operation.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
